How do I use Contact Finder, lists and Path?
Find the people behind an artist or song, save your research in lists and explore routes from your own connections to someone you want to reach.
Open Home → Contact Finder in the desktop app. Contact Finder is included with Pro. You can search people and songs, browse credits, open Lists or explore My network from here.
Add your connections in the Contacts tab. Open a person you know, choose Edit contact, set Status to Connected and click Save changes. Contacts marked Connected appear in your personal network and become starting points from You in Path.
Link each contact’s Genius profile in Contacts → Edit contact → Genius → Link Genius profile. Search for the person, select the matching profile and click Save changes. Use Change to correct a linked profile. Genius links connect your contacts with their music credits and help ProducerBrain find routes through your network.
Return to Home → Contact Finder. Search for an artist, producer, engineer or song title and choose the correct People or Songs result. Let the credits load. Open a release or song to narrow the people shown, and use the role filter or Search people field to find relevant collaborators. Open a person to review their credits and any available contact links.
Switch from List to Map to see how people connect through shared song credits. Select a person or connection to inspect it. Open My network to see your own connections; after editing contacts, use Refresh to load the latest network.
For a route to someone, search for that person first, open Map and switch to Path. Use Choose target to select who you want to reach. Path starts at You and looks for routes through your connected contacts and the available music credits. For example: You → a producer you know → a collaborator → your target artist. Max. steps controls how many connections a route can contain.
Open Routes and select a suggestion to see each person along the way and the song credits supporting the connections. Shorter routes appear first, followed by saved connections and stronger shared credits. Use View person to inspect a possible introduction, or Find ways without this person to look for another route.
If your contacts or a route are missing, check the selected workspace, the contact’s Connected status and their Genius link, then Refresh. Clear restrictive filters, increase Max. steps or allow more credits to load. If loading was paused, use Continue loading credits in Routes. More linked profiles and available credits can reveal routes that were not visible before.
To save a shortlist, return to List, click the Select people icon beside the people search and select the people you want. Click Add to list, then choose an existing list or New list. Enter a name such as Producers for my next pack and click Create & add. You can also open a person in Map and choose Add to list.
Open Lists at the top of Contact Finder to return to a saved shortlist. Choose its name in the sidebar, search or filter the people inside it, and select people to add them to another list or remove them with Remove from list. To create an empty list first, use the + beside Lists, enter its name and click Create.
To save someone to Contacts, open their details and use the add-to-contacts action. Review their profile, email address and Genius link in the Contacts tab.
